Around the Far East in 30 days

Posted on Sunday 13th May 2007

I have finally booked my flight to Hong Kong in December 2007. I will leave the UK on Friday 14 December 2007 and return back on Sunday 13 January 2008 – 30 days in total.

While I am visiting in Hong Kong, I would also like to visit some nearby countries, so I am now planning some short trips in some Far East countries. At the moment, the countries that I have got on my list are: Singapore, Maylasia, Indonesia, Taiwan, South Korea, China and Hawaii. I am thinking of stopping in each country for approx 4 days max, and I have a lot of preparation here before I leave the UK.

I have already contacted Singapore’s, Malaysia’s and Indonesia’s Embassy in London to see if I require a Visa to enter these countries or not. Surprisingly, I can enter these countries only with my British Citizen passport apart from Indonesia. I require to apply for a Visa to enter Indonesia for a charge of £35.00, and it allows me to stay in the country for up to 30 days. As I only plan to stay for 4 days max, it seems to me that spending £35.00 for a Visa is a bit expensive!!!

Anyway, this is my plan so far, come back later to see more…
